The 170 members of our Class of 2026 gathered and were inducted into the NDCL community on September 19, 2022. They thoughtfully accepted their role in boosting Notre Dame Cathedral Latin’s mission and core values in the Regina Mundi Chapel of the Notre Dame Education Center, up the hill from the high school. Senior leader Paige Fisher made her remarks by encouraging them to make the next four years the best by taking risks, looking for help, and following God’s path.
She also encouraged the younger students to get involved with the community because that’s what NDCL is about. Principal Mr. Waler advised incoming first-year students to consider themselves who they are and continue to be themselves. He presented a gift to the class that appeared to be some ordinary mirror bought in Alaska but lit up, saying, “see the good.” His thought process emphasized that there are no insecurities to be seen in the mirror. Closing the ceremony, Mr. Waler and Dr. Bates presented personalized frames of the Transform mural in the NDCL lobby to each student to represent their new status in the community.
Exceptional help was also represented by Sr. Michelle, Mrs. Teeples, Mr. DeMichael, Maddy Martin-Kosier, Marysa Kellis, Allison Fracci, Emily Redmond, Rianna Linnert, Zoey Daher, and Ava Bilavcic.
