You may be wondering where our NDCL seniors are continuing their academic careers. Well, two top picks are currently for the NDCL senior class of 2023. The University of Dayton and Ohio University are great schools, but what is so appealing about them that our students are attracted to them? I talked to some students attending Ohio University or the University of Dayton, and here’s what they have to say. Alexandra Znidarsic says Ohio University “has a beautiful, practical, affordable campus. I am also going into Pre-Med, and they have an excellent program for pre-med students.” Another student we talked to was Gianni Spetic. Gianni is committed to playing football at Ohio University on an entire ride! He says, “it was the best for me, and it’s a gorgeous campus. The coaches and players were amazing people, coming off a perfect season.” Lastly, Gianna DiFrano chose Ohio University because “the environment and the school are so pretty, and [she] loves the town because it reminds [her] of home. [She’s] excited that other NDCL students are going to OU because it will be that same
sense of home for [her]!” Many people are considering the University of Dayton but have not committed yet, so let’s see what the committed students have to say to make the decision process more manageable. Caitlyn Cvikovic says, “everyone that has talked about Dayton just loves it, and as soon [she] visited the campus, she felt comfortable navigating. They also have a good graphic design program that [she] wants to major in. Also, it’s the perfect distance from home!” Jackie Queen is 99.9% sure she is going to the University of Dayton, and she says
“I knew it was the right fit for me, and they have strong alumni and great connections. I know I will get a good education and have a great time. Lastly, I have considered Ohio University and the University of Dayton, but I think the place for me is the University of Dayton! Dayton’s community is one never to forget, they have the nicest people, and it’s a perfect size.
Also, Dayton has one of the top 25 Pre-Law programs in the country, which is my intended major. So, after talking with these individuals, it seems that Dayton and Ohio University have a great sense of community, and people are very welcoming. There is also a common theme of people knowing they wanted to be at that specific university right when they stepped on the campus and could visually see themselves there. After being in Catholic schools my whole life, I knew I still wanted to serve and be involved in Campus Ministry, which is another reason for choosing UD. Lastly, I would like to congratulate all NDCL seniors who have committed to the college of their choice or are in the process of doing so! I wish you the best of luck, and I hope your hard work at NDCL will pay off and that you will continue to do great things!
