The NDCL Volleyball team, led by Coach Tom Ray, recently wrapped up their foremost regular season, finishing with a 15-7 record. Their journey was marked with highs and lows, but the team has demonstrated resilience in their matchups regardless of win or loss and will continue to work hard. These girls have worked tirelessly throughout the season, and are preparing to finish the state tournament this October and sending all of our prayers towards our lion girls so they don’t lose their motivation and durability while fighting for victory in states!
Heading into the playoffs as the 6th seed, NDCL won their first two games effortlessly thanks to their consistent teamwork. They recently became district champions after defeating Kenston 4-0 earlier last week. To follow up, they will compete in regional semi-finals against CVCA later this week, wrapping up their October season. With hopes of making it even further into the state playoffs, the team is extremely focused on a possible second state championship for several of the players, who remain hungry for another shot at the title. The team’s ten seniors: Addi Martin, Sophia DeRenzo, Marissa Brock, Izzy Otero, Mckenna Morrison, Selena Moisis, Lila Baeslach, Grace Gaeta, Ava Mulchin, and Ava Hills, desperately want to finish their final high school season as strongly as they can. As they advance, the team continues to train hard, aiming to bring their best performance to each match.
