Welcome back once again to yet another weekly bible quote shared by one of our very own NDCL students. Before we begin, the editor-in-chief (Joy English) would like to share her thanks for the support in this section of the newsletter! We have received so many requests from NDCL students who are eager to share their love for a bible verse in hopes that it will affect somebody somehow for the better. Now, to shift back, this week’s bible verse is coming from Rob Bonchak (junior)! Proverbs 3:5-6 claims the spot of being Rob’s favorite bible verse. This verse tells us to “trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your understanding; in all ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths”. Rob proclaims that this verse is “just something that a lot of people struggle to do, including me”. He continues to relate, “At times, it may seem impossible to trust someone else more than yourself but that’s the only way to be at peace, once you’ve fully given yourself up to the Lord”. Rob is right! This idea is something that all believers in God have or will struggle with at least once in their lives, but remember, the journey can only strengthen your relationship with God. When Rob was asked where he came across this verse, he replied that he “found it while going through tough times and attended a bible study in an attempt to overcome the struggle”. This is your reminder that a local bible study may be extremely beneficial to you and your relationship with God. If you are an NDCL student or staff member, and you do not know of any bible studies taking place near you, show up to the Campus Ministry Lounge at 7:30 am THIS Friday the 22nd for our second round of Fourth Friday! This is a bible study run by students who diligently plan and prepare for these meetings! We hope to see you there!
