NDCL Digital Design student Sean Morad teamed up with NDCL alumnus and Chardon Township Trustee Jacob Cimperman ’16 to create a new “WELCOME TO” sign for Chardon Township. Out of 60 designs, Sean’s design prevailed and will soon be featured as Chardon’s new welcome sign.
Sean, a 10th grader at NDCL, enjoys designing and making digital art. He started his digital design journey in his first year in Mr. Brlecic’s “Digital Design 1” class. He was presented with this opportunity in “Studio 222”, managed by Mr. Brlecic. Sean wants to pursue a career in general logo design and pattern design. His favorite subject right now is his math class, geometry. Sean is encouraged by this success and reassured in his design skills, which he shares. Design is a passion of Sean’s, and he hopes to continue his skill more than he already has with the help of NDCL classes and staff.
Sean was helped and inspired by Mr. Brlecic, a 25-year veteran art director. Sean remarks that winning this competition and recognizing his work has shown him that “the small things we do take off and can be successful.” Sean Morad can inspire all of us to follow our dreams and passions to see where they might lead.
