Nathaniel “Coyote” Peterson (born September 1, 1981) is an American YouTuber, wildlife educator, and host of Animal Planet’s series Coyote Peterson: Brave the Wild. He is best known for his YouTube channel Brave Wilderness, which focuses on documenting and educating about animals. Peterson has also become known for videos where he allows himself to be stung by bugs and animals. He hosts several YouTube channel series, including Breaking Trail, Beyond the Tide, Dragon Tails, Base Camp, Blue Wilderness, On Location, and Coyote’s Backyard. These series span many tropical and temperate locations, including much of the United States, Australia, Brazil, New Zealand, South Africa, Japan, the Bahamas, and Costa Rica. At a young age, Coyote was interested in animals, which his mother inspired. He loved exploring the outdoors and catching different animals. Peterson is an NDCL graduate, which we are very proud of. He then studied film at Ohio State University, graduating in 2004.

Though a self-described animal expert, he is not formally educated in any biological science and does not have any animal training. As such, he has warned viewers not to imitate his handling methods. Peterson began posting videos on his YouTube channel, Brave Wilderness, in 2014. In 2018, Peterson made a video where he let an Asian giant hornet sting him. He started his dangerous experiments because of the enthusiastic response of his audience. In 2019, Peterson’s channel set Guinness World Records for the most-subscribed YouTube channel dedicated to animals and for the most-viewed animal channel. In 2020, Peterson said he was probably done making “sting and bite” videos. Peterson was featured on Conan, along with Jeff Goldblum, where he brought many animals.

In May 2021, Peterson and his teammate Mark Vins participated in a video call with president Joe Biden and Anthony Fauci to promote COVID-19 vaccinations. On January 30, 2022, Mr. Peterson will visit his old high school friends and talk to the sophomore class about his wildlife experiences!! Fauci to promote COVID-19 vaccinations. On January 30, 2022, Mr. Peterson will pay his senior high. Furthermore, “Coyote” Peterson wouldn’t exist today without social media. We can share our story with the whole world at the click of a button. He tells us to stay persistent, and we will achieve our goals.

During his talk, Coyote played bizarre videos on the big screen of him getting bit by alligators, dangerous snapping turtles, ants, insects, and many, many more. However, he said the most pain he’s ever felt was when yellow jacket bees bit him. And surprisingly, in all the dangerous situations he put himself in, with all the beasts he has encountered, he has never broken a bone in his whole life. School friends a visit and talk to the entire sophomore class about his wildlife experiences!

He made his first video around 2016, which went viral in 2018. With 2020 and Covid right around the corner, whether his channel would flourish or die out was unknown. However, he used this to his advantage and said Covid was great for him. Since everyone was home, his TV and Youtube were getting more views than ever. He would take many road trips to produce more content and had some of the most fun during this period. Coyote even said she met people as famous as Kim Kardashian and Kanye West during this time!! Coyote’s story was fascinating and entertaining as he told his wildlife stories. To sign off as coyote Peterson would himself, “be brave, stay wild, see you at the next adventure!”
