Football:
This year, our NDCL Football team, led by captains Robert Bonchak, Caiden Covacs, Brendan Hernan, and Dylan Hoenigman, had a dominant season, finishing off their regular season with a 7-3 record! Not only did the Lions have a standout season, but they were featured as the Fox 8 Game of the Week twice! Advancing after a blowout win against Hubbard, the Lions fell to the Perry Pirates 6-26. Congratulations to the Lions for having the best season in years!
Volleyball:
Ending off the season strong with a 15-9 record, the Lions charged toward the postseason, led by Abby Tolin, Grace Daniels, and Tora Forte, ready to dominate! Dominating in the postseason with a 15-1 set record, the Lions went up against Bloom-Carroll in the State Tournament, winning two sets in a row. In the tiebreaker set, the team put up a fight, but fell 15-9. Congratulations, Lions, on making it all the way to states!
Soccer:
Boys – Finishing the regular season with a 10-6-3 record, the Boys Soccer Team — led by Ryan Cvitkovic, Kristian Mazar, Drea Musa, and Luka Sesar — carried their momentum into the postseason with confidence. They dominated the OSHAA sectionals with a 10-2 victory and advanced through two rounds of district play before narrowly falling in the final. Congratulations to the boys on a strong and inspiring season finish!
Girls – With captains Elizabeth Keefe, Marija Vukovic, and Lexi Dobbert, the Girls Soccer Team had a powerful finish with an impressive 9-5-3 record. Similar to the boys, the Girls team demolished OSHAA sectionals, winning the game 7-0. Charging into Districts on a hot streak, the Girls made it to the second round of Districts before ultimately being knocked out. Congratulations to the girls on an impressive and dominating season!
Tennis:
During the regular season, captains Makenna Marrott and Annie Stief ensured a dominant season, ending it off with a 9-9 record. The girls then competed in the North Coast Conference Championship, finishing 3rd out of 7 teams. The girls advanced all the way through Districts, having Ella Workinger advancing to the State Tournament for the second year in a row! Congrats to Ella for placing 5th, ending off the season strong!
Cross Country:
Speeding past the competition, the Cross Country team, led by captains Quinton Linnert and Andrea Heredia-Selinas, advanced all the way through regionals, with Zoey Myers state-bound! Congratulations on a wonderful season, Lions!
Golf:
Boys- The Boys’ Golf Team had an outstanding 3-2 season, thanks to captains JT Krebs, Christian Bittner, and Lucas Marlow placing 7th overall in the North Coast conference. Hamilton Miller shot 80 and 84 in the Sectional and District tournaments, respectively, showing off his golf prowess. Congratulations, Lions, on swinging through the competition.
Girls- Captains Ava Lewandowski and Alexis Urigal lead the Girls’ Golf team to an amazing 12-1 record! Not only that, but the team advanced all the way to the district competition. Congrats, girls, on another successful season!
