Over the weekend, the Aurora High School Marching Band hosted its annual “Thunder Over Aurora: A Marching Band Spectacular,” held Saturday, September 13, 2025. The event brought together ten local high school marching bands, each ready to showcase their talent…and they did not disappoint.

Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin’s Band of the Fighting Irish, consisting of 54 members, performed a crowd-pleasing set highlighting their marching and powerful sound. Their performance featured songs like Enter Sandman, Carry On Wayward Son, You Give Love A Bad Name, and Monster. Earning cheers from the audience and setting the standards high as they set the stage for the rest of the schools.

“Thunder Over Aurora” has become a tradition for the NDCL Marching Band, which is participating in its 14th year in this event. Families, friends, and alumni packed the stands to celebrate the dedication and talent of the area’s young musicians.

NDCL’s Marching Band continues to make us proud.
